As a ICU physiotherapist Fatma has spent much of her career helping patients and families navigate extremely challenging times. She prides herself on relieving suffering and contributing to a productive direction. Her experience gives her a very unique viewpoint on chronic disease and what it takes for individuals and their loved ones to overcome large challenges. Fatma also has experience in quality improvement at Sick Kids in Toronto and in Edmonton. She knows how to analyze and adjust to get the best possible outcomes.
Fatma grew up in Tanzania but currently lives in Edmonton Alberta. She spent many years in Toronto working with the world renowned Sick Kids team. She is a world traveler and has visited every continent except Antarctica. Family is central to Fatma’s life. She has two young boys and a loving husband who enjoys traveling the world with her. Her sense of adventure has led her to jump out of a plane, off a bridge, skywalk the CN tower and hike Kilimanjaro!
