Ben brings an exceptional academic foundation and a deeply empathetic, patient-centered philosophy to his practice. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology Summa Cum Laude from McMaster University, where he was a consistent Dean’s List scholar and University Senate Scholarship recipient, before completing his Master of Science in Physical Therapy at Queen’s University. His broad clinical experience spans supporting varsity athletes, delivering aquatic therapy, and designing tailored exercise programs for individuals navigating spinal cord injuries, cardiac disease, and cancer recovery. Guided by core values of empathy, curiosity, and resilience, Ben takes the time to truly understand each patient’s personal journey, crafting treatment plans that connect rehabilitation directly to what matters most to them. Having conducted thesis research on physical activity and pediatric chronic health conditions, Ben understands that recovery is rarely linear; he provides the steadfast encouragement, evidence-based care, and patience needed to help clients navigate setbacks and regain confident independence.

Outside the clinic, Ben’s personal life reflects the very resilience and energy he instills in his patients. Having managed Crohn’s disease since childhood, he intimately understands the challenges of overcoming health hurdles to stay active, which fuels his deep appreciation for movement as a source of healing. Having lived in various communities across Ontario and Wisconsin before settling in Haliburton, Ben spent years working in remote trail maintenance, a background that cemented his passion for backcountry hiking, camping, and the outdoors. An avid half-marathon runner, recreational tennis player, and aspiring triathlete, he frequently shares a friendly, competitive drive with his sister, a Toronto physiatrist. Whether he is plotting his bucket-list trek through the Dolomites, fearlessly taking the microphone for a throwback karaoke performance, or humbly learning to check the weather after getting caught in an unexpected blizzard mid-run, Ben’s warm humor, approachable nature, and adventurous spirit make it effortless for patients from all walks of life to connect with him.
