Haneen was first exposed to the profession of Physiotherapy in the 12th grade when her mother was struck by a car as a pedestrian. She witnessed the compassion and healing power of physiotherapy and became inspired by the impact that a patient centred approach to rehabilitation can have. She strives to provide that same support to each of her patients to maximize the positive impact she has on their lives. Haneen is a life-long learner. She has conducted important research during her time in the biochem lab at Sickkids Peter Gilgan Centre for Research and Learning as well as her journey through Physiotherapy education. She was the principal investigator on an important paper entitled Exploring the Use of Diagnostic Point-of-Care Lung and Thoracic Ultrasound by Physiotherapists: A Scoping Review.
Growing up in Scarborough Haneen enjoyed Boxing, strength training and hiking. She is an avid reader and once read 21 books in 2 months! Haneen’s patients benefit from her warm personality and genuine desire to help. Be warned….she is a talker. Her roommates in University used to call her “sound machine”!
