Katie Mah is a Physiotherapy Intern who brings a thoughtful, patient-centered approach to her practice, grounded in advocacy, active listening, and continuous learning. She earned her Master of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto after completing her Bachelor of Science Honours in Kinesiology at McMaster University. Katie’s clinical experience spans diverse settings, having served as a Student Field Therapist for varsity teams, assisted runners at the Toronto Waterfront Marathon, and supported individuals with spinal cord injuries and multiple sclerosis at McMaster’s Physical Activity Centre of Excellence. Dedicated to empowering patients through education and collaborative care, Katie delights in helping people achieve recovery goals they once thought impossible. In a true full-circle moment, her path in physical therapy actually started right here at Cornerstone, where she first worked as a clinic receptionist during her undergraduate years.

Originally from North York, Ontario, Katie stays active outside the clinic through a variety of recreational sports including slo-pitch softball, volleyball, badminton, and pickleball. When she isn’t on the court or field, she enjoys spending time with her older sister (with whom she engages in an ongoing debate over whether they look alike) or working toward her bucket-list goals of learning to surf, wakeboard, and crochet. A warm and approachable clinician, Katie isn’t afraid to share a good laugh over her own life lessons, often citing her worst physical injury as a minor concussion earned as a kid by running full-speed into a crystal-clean glass door.
